Dr. Jennifer Flage Hobson, PT, DPT, MTC, CFC, CMTPT, OMT
Jennifer Flage Hobson is a European-trained physical therapist. She earned her degree in physical therapy with an emphasis on manual therapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She completed Hogeschool internships in Holland and Madrid, Spain, and then concluded with a clinical residency in Advanced Orthopedics in Chicago. Dr. Hobson earned a Manual Therapy Certification, Cranio-Facial (Rocabado) Certification, and Doctorate in Physical Therapy under the direction of the renowned New Zealand expert Dr. Stanley Paris at the University of St. Augustine, Florida. Fluent in the Spanish language, Dr. Hobson continues to train and teach in Santiago, Chile, with Dr. Mariano Rocabado, a leading Cranio-Facial, TMJ, Neck and Spine rehabilitation expert. Dr. Hobson is the first instructor to teach the Rocabado Method in the states through the University of St. Augustine.
Dr. Hobson trained with Joy Moeller, BS, RDH, and Sandra Coulson, MS.ST,ED,COM two of the leading instructors in the field of Myofunctional Therapy. Dr. Hobson enhanced her knowledge of restoring not only the head, neck and jaw, but also the tongue and its functions related to proper development of the mouth, teeth, and throat.
Dr. Hobson is a certified educator of Buteyko Breathing method (the simple idea of breathing volume reduction) through the instruction of Patrick McKeown, one of the few practitioners accredited by Professor K. P. Buteyko and is currently working towards certification for the Laynee Restorative Breathing Method. | Full Biography
Katherine Matias-Riggs, PT, MPT
Katherine Matias-Riggs received her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1995. Her clinical experience includes working in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, using a high degree of osteopathic evaluative methodology, manual treatment, and exercise prescription. Kathy’s focus is osteopathy in the cranial field for which she has treated patients from infants to adults with concussions, plagiocephaly, headaches, traumatic brain injury, TMJ disorders, and spinal dysfunction of the neck and back. She has trained with Professors Emerita Fred Mitchell, Jr., D.O., and Philip Greenman, D.O. in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Kathy is in the process of earning certification in Neuromanipulation from the Barral Institute, and cranio-facial certification from the University of St. Augustine.
Dr. Adriana Ossa-Cruz, PT, CLT, CFC
Adriana Ossa-Cruz received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at “Universidad Autonoma” Colombia S.A. In her years of practice she has gained extensive clinical experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics specializing in spine pathology. Adriana is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 2006 and focuses her practice on evidence-based treatment of the head neck and thorax. Currently, Adriana has earned a Doctorate Degree at the University of St. Augustine in Florida with the focus on craniofacial specialty and has earned her Rocabado CranioFacial Certification. Adriana has an affiliation with NorthShore University Health System a teaching hospital of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where she joins the lymphedema specialty team with emphasis on the treatment of oncology patients, and management of post surgical edema. Adriana is fluent in Spanish with the ability of confidently working and developing relationships in multicultural environments. Adriana Ossa-Cruz is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and a member of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
Kenneth Sy, PT, OCS, CMP
Kenneth completed his physical therapy degree in 1997 at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines with the special distinction of cum laude. Throughout his career he continued to obtain accreditations that include: Certified Mulligan Practitioner (2006), and Orthopedic Certified Specialist (2007). Kenneth obtained these certifications through careful study under Brian Mulligan and other Mulligan Concept teachers, and the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
He has utilized all of these techniques in a variety of physical therapy settings ranging from acute care, outpatient and home health care. Kenneth’s interests include spine, knee, shoulder, and ankle dysfunction. He hopes to continue with this focus and is in the process of earning Craniofacial Certification through the University of St. Augustine.
Lindsay Uthe, PT, DPT
Dr. Uthe received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in 2005. Thereafter she focused on her outpatient orthopedic skills with emphasis on pre- and post- operative conditions including but not limitied to the spine, knee, and shoulder. In 2009, Lindsay earned her certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation: A competency-based course from Emory University, under Dr. Susan Herdman and Richard Clendaniel, both leaders in the field of vestibular physical therapy. At the time Lindsay received this certification, she became one of two percent of physical therapists in the country with this distinction. This certification has allowed her to successfully treat patients suffering from vertigo, imbalance, tinnitus, migraines, and post concussion symptoms. Currently, Lindsay is in the process of completing her cranio-facial certification from the University of St. Augustine, Florida.
Liz Wolfe, PT
Liz Wolfe received her master’s degree in PT from St Louis University in 2005. Her clinical experience includes working both inpatient and outpatient orthopedics with emphasis on manual therapy and functional rehab. Ms. Wolfe’s special interests are in the area of spine, headaches, Craniofacial pain, TMJ, shoulders and sports medicine particularly runners. She has completed specialized training in cranio facial pain, headaches, TMJ, dizziness, and restoring athletes to their optimal function. Ms. Wolfe is in the final process of becoming Craniofacial certified by head and neck TMJ expert, Dr. Mariano Rocabado. Ms. Wolfe is a marathon runner and try-athlete herself who enjoys treating athletes.
